Monuments:
I think that the monument should stand at Tan Tock Seng hospital as Tan Tock Seng Hospital was first built at Pearl's Hill and But was at that time called the Chinese Pauper's Hospital. Syed Omar donated land for the construction of the Chinese Pauper's Hospital at Pearl's Hill.
I think that the monument should be a cross, like the cross that represents hospitals as Syed Omar donated land for the construction of the Chinese Pauper's Hospital. If he did not donate that piece of land, the Tan Tock Seng Hospital we all know today might not even exist.
